Loop Engine Project
The Loop Engine is a loop based generative music programme designed as an installation for non-musicians to put on their PCs. The engine itself will be available as a Java applet or similar and will have a visual control interface that will hopefully be intuitive to use - for example, clicking on a beating heart symbol will make the music more kicking by bringing in appropriate loops. Left to its own devices the engine should provide a different mix each time it plays.
News of this project will be updated as and when it happens and links and maybe "raw" loops (as .wav files) will hopefully appear on this site. If nothing happens this page and all references to it will vanish faster than Trotsky from a Russian history book.
